How to Use / Installation Best Practices

Installing the 20' x 30' Presto hardware requires a systematic approach to ensure the structure is square and properly tensioned.

Step 1: Site Selection and Layout Ensure the site is level and free of underground utilities. Spread a protective drop cloth and lay the vinyl top out. Place the side poles at each grommet and position the 14 included anchoring pins approximately 3.5' to 4' from the edge of the tent.

Step 2: Securing Anchors Drive the 24-inch galvanized anchoring pins into the ground at an angle away from the tent. Ensure at least 6 inches of the pin remains above ground for rope attachment. Professional stake driving is key to structural integrity.

Step 3: Perimeter Setup Assemble the 2-piece side poles and insert the pins into the tent grommets. Attach the guy ropes from the tent top to the anchoring pins. Keep the ropes relatively loose to allow for the lift of the center poles.

Step 4: Raising the Center Poles Assemble both 4-piece center poles. Starting with one, crawl under the tent and insert the pole tip into the center grommet, then lift it to a vertical position. Repeat this for the second center pole. These two points of elevation will create the primary tension for the 600 sq. ft. structure.

Step 5: Final Tensioning and Safety Adjust the perimeter guy ropes until all side poles are vertical and the vinyl top is drum-tight. Secure the jump ropes to the center poles to prevent "lifting" in the event of wind. Perform a final maintenance check on all connections and ropes before opening the area to guests.
