Product Description
40' x 60' Classic Frame Aluminum Double Tube 7' Pole and Fitting Kit
The 40' x 60' Classic Frame Aluminum Double Tube 7' Pole and Fitting Kit provides a heavy-duty, engineered foundation for large-scale outdoor shelters. Designed specifically for professional rental companies and event crews, this kit replaces or builds a complete West Coast Style frame system. By utilizing high-strength aluminum double tube construction, this 40' x 60' kit offers significantly increased rigidity and wind resistance compared to standard single-tube systems, making it the preferred choice for high-stakes tent installation projects like weddings, corporate galas, and festivals.
This kit is a comprehensive hardware solution, including all the essential 7-foot leg poles, rafters, spreaders, and specialized fittings required to assemble a 2,400-square-foot structure. Because it follows the industry-standard West Coast design, the components are interchangeable with other brands of the same style, allowing for seamless integration into your existing inventory. Whether you are expanding your rental fleet or replacing a worn framework, this double-tube system ensures a stable, professional-grade event setup every time.
Why the Double Tube Frame Matters
For large-span structures like a 40-foot wide tent, structural integrity is paramount. The double tube aluminum design provides a superior strength-to-weight ratio, resisting bowing and torsion under heavy tension or wind loads. This kit improves site safety and reduces the risk of frame failure during multi-day events. By investing in a double-tube tent installation system, rental businesses can offer clients a more robust shelter that maintains its peak appearance and stability even in challenging outdoor environments.
Key Features of the 40' x 60' Double Tube Kit
- Engineered Double Tube Construction: Reinforced aluminum tubing provides maximum structural support for wide-span tent setups.
- West Coast Style Compatibility: Standardized fittings and pole diameters ensure these parts work with your existing West Coast frame inventory.
- 7-Foot Eave Height: Includes all necessary 7-foot leg poles to create a comfortable, accessible perimeter height for guests and vendors.
- Comprehensive Fitting Set: Features heavy-duty welded steel fittings including crowns, side tees, and corner joints for a secure assembly.
- Corrosion-Resistant Materials: High-grade aluminum and plated steel components are built to withstand moisture, transport, and repeated outdoor use.
- Modular Sectional Design: The 40' x 60' layout is achieved through a proven sectional system, allowing for efficient teardown and compact storage.
How to Use / Installation Best Practices
Setting up a large frame requires a coordinated team and a clear workflow. Follow these steps for an efficient and safe assembly.
Step 1: Layout and Inventory
Clear the site of debris and lay out the poles and fittings on a ground cloth to prevent scratching the aluminum. Organize components by type: rafters (red), spreaders (white), and corner rafters (green) to ensure a smooth assembly process.
Step 2: Assemble the Roof Framework
Begin by connecting the ridge crowns to the rafters and spreaders. Assemble the perimeter of the roof frame first, then install the interior rafters and cables. Ensure all pins (R-pins or pin and bail) are securely locked into every fitting connection to prevent the frame from pulling apart during the lift.
Step 3: Attach the Tent Top
Before raising the frame on its legs, pull the tent top over the roof structure. Secure the top to the frame using the integrated straps. It is much easier and safer to manage the fabric while the frame is still at ground level.
Step 4: Raising the Frame
With a crew of 4 to 8 people, lift one side of the tent and insert the 7-foot leg poles into the side tees and corner fittings. Repeat this process for the opposite side. Once the tent is standing, install the base plates at the bottom of each leg.
Step 5: Anchoring and Tensioning
Immediately anchor the tent using heavy-duty stakes and ratchet straps (sold separately). A 40' x 60' structure requires robust anchoring at every leg location. Tension the straps evenly to ensure the tent top is drum-tight and the frame is vertically plumb.
