Product Description
40' x 70' Classic Frame Aluminum Double Tube 7' Pole and Fitting Kit
The 40' x 70' Classic Frame Aluminum Double Tube 7' Pole and Fitting Kit is a professional-grade structural solution designed for large-scale outdoor events and high-capacity temporary shelters. This kit provides the complete heavy-duty framework required to support a 2,800-square-foot West Coast Style frame tent. By utilizing an engineered double tube aluminum design, this 40' x 70' system offers significantly enhanced rigidity and wind resistance compared to standard single-tube frames. It is the ideal choice for an event rental company that needs a reliable, expansive structure for weddings, corporate gatherings, or large festivals where safety and structural integrity are paramount.
This kit includes all the necessary 7-foot leg poles, rafters, spreaders, and specialized steel fittings to build a complete sectional frame. Because it follows the industry-standard West Coast design, the components are interchangeable with other brands of the same style, allowing for seamless integration into your existing inventory. Whether you are performing a new tent installation or expanding your fleet, the double tube construction ensures a stable foundation that resists bowing under the tension of large vinyl tops. This modular system is built for frequent use, providing a professional-grade event setup every time.
Why the 40' x 70' Double Tube System Matters
When spanning a 40-foot width across a 70-foot length, the structural loads on the frame increase dramatically. The 40' x 70' Classic Frame Aluminum Double Tube 7' Pole and Fitting Kit addresses this by using structural-grade aluminum with a double-channel profile. This design maximizes the strength-to-weight ratio, ensuring the frame stays square and stable even in challenging weather conditions. For professional crews, this means fewer issues with frame flex during installation and a more secure environment for clients. Investing in double tube technology reduces long-term maintenance costs by preventing the warping or bending common in lighter-duty frames.
Key Features
- Engineered Double Tube Construction: Reinforced aluminum tubing provides maximum structural support and increased torque resistance for large-span setups.
- West Coast Style Compatibility: Standardized fittings and pole diameters ensure these parts work with your existing West Coast frame inventory.
- 7-Foot Eave Height: Includes all necessary 7-foot leg poles for a comfortable and accessible perimeter height.
- Heavy-Duty Welded Fittings: Includes all necessary crowns, side tees, and corner joints manufactured from zinc-plated steel for maximum durability.
- 2,800 Square Feet of Coverage: Provides a massive footprint suitable for high-occupancy events and complex floor plans.
- Corrosion-Resistant Materials: Anodized aluminum and plated steel components are built to withstand moisture and repeated outdoor use.
How to Use / Installation Best Practices
Assembling a 40' x 70' frame requires a coordinated team and a systematic approach to ensure safety and efficiency during the event setup.
Step 1: Layout and Inventory
Clear the site of debris and lay out all poles and fittings on a protective drop cloth. Organize components by color-coded lengths (rafters, spreaders, and legs) to ensure a smooth assembly process and prevent confusion during the tent installation.
Step 2: Assemble the Roof Framework
Begin by connecting the ridge crowns to the rafters and spreaders to form the peak of the tent. Assemble the perimeter spreaders and install all interior rafters and support cables. Every joint must be securely locked with R-pins or pin-and-bail fasteners to prevent the frame from pulling apart during the lift.
Step 3: Fabric Application
Before raising the frame on its legs, pull the vinyl tent top over the roof structure. Secure the top to the perimeter spreaders. Managing the fabric at ground level is much safer and more efficient than trying to adjust it once the tent is at full height.
Step 4: Raising the Structure
With a crew of 6 to 10 people, lift one 70-foot side of the frame and insert the 7-foot leg poles into the fittings. Once the first side is stable, repeat the process for the opposite side. Ensure all legs are seated properly in the base plates.
Step 5: Anchoring and Tensioning
Immediately secure the tent using professional-grade stakes and ratchet straps (sold separately). Because of the 2,800-square-foot surface area, proper stake driving at every leg location is mandatory. Tension the straps evenly to ensure the top is drum-tight and the frame is plumb.
