Product Description
JackJaw 308 Stake Puller for Small Stakes, Ground Rods, and T-Posts
JackJaw 308 Stake Puller is a professional-grade extraction tool designed for removing smaller tent stakes, ground rods, and T-posts commonly used by tent rental professionals. Similar in operation to the JackJaw 301, the 308 model is optimized for smaller diameter hardware while delivering the same controlled, high-force extraction. It is built to remove 3/16 inch (4.76 mm) to 1 inch (25.4 mm) diameter stakes and rebar efficiently and safely.
The puller features a sturdy steel frame that guides the stake during removal, combined with a long lever handle and cam-shaped jaws to generate significant lifting force. This design supports fast teardown while reducing physical strain on the operator.
Why the JackJaw 308 Matters
Smaller diameter stakes can still be deeply set and difficult to remove, especially after extended installations or in compacted soil. The JackJaw 308 applies pulling force directly in line with the stake shaft, making extraction easier and helping prevent bending or damage. By operating through downward force rather than lifting, it reduces back strain and supports safer, more consistent teardown.
Key Features
- Designed for small diameter tent stakes, ground rods, and T-posts
- Handles stakes from 3/16 inch to 1 inch in diameter
- Provides a 16-to-1 mechanical advantage
- Aligned pulling action helps prevent stake bending or damage
- Lever-based operation reduces operator fatigue and injury risk
How the JackJaw 308 Works
Step 1: Position the Puller
Place the JackJaw 308 over the exposed portion of the stake, ground rod, or T-post. The 29 inch (736.6 mm) tall frame helps guide the stake straight during extraction.
Step 2: Engage the Jaws
Align the case-hardened cam-shaped jaws around the stake shaft. As force is applied, the jaws grip securely to maintain consistent engagement.
Step 3: Apply Downward Force
Push down on the 36 inch (914.4 mm) handle. Applying 100 lbs (45.36 kg) of force generates approximately 1600 lbs (725.75 kg) of upward pulling force on the stake.
Step 4: Extract the Stake
The stake is pulled straight out of the ground, reducing resistance and protecting both the stake and surrounding surface.
Construction and Durability
Patented JackJaw Extractors are manufactured in Dayton, Ohio using heavy gauge steel plate and tubing for everyday job site use. The jaws are made from case-hardened AR400 steel for long wear and are easily replaceable when needed. To prevent corrosion and eliminate paint chipping, the tool features a zinc and clear chromate plating for long-lasting durability.

Usage Notes
The JackJaw 308 Stake Puller is intended for professional tent installation and teardown applications involving smaller diameter stakes and rods. Always ensure jaws are properly engaged before applying force and inspect the tool regularly for wear. Lever-based extraction helps protect operators, preserve reusable hardware, and support safe, efficient teardown across repeated events.
